Progressive overload is not everything
Feb 03, 2022There is more in the workout than repetition x weight/progression. That is simply our way to quantify the work.
When you perform the exercise - try to ask yourself the next questions:
Where in the exercise am I not truly in control?
What part of the range of motion am I the weakest?
Why did I develop that weakness?
Where is the compensation coming from?
How can I address it?
Once you look at your workout as an opportunity to solve a problem - maybe you will ultimately enable progressive overload to occur.
